SB Co. Branding
Comprehensive Brand
Objectives:
Sharon Bailey is a business strategist based in Grand Junction, Colorado. She has a rad vibe and needed a brand to match. Even though she had an existing logo and website, she wanted cohesiveness across all of her platforms so everything looked, felt, and sounded like the same business. The goal was to create a recognizable system that felt confident and polished, while still staying warm, human, and true to her personality.
Solutions:
We determined that a fresh, complete rebrand was in order. We started with her brand strategy, dialing in her voice, mission, vision, and values, mapping out her audience, and clarifying what makes her different in a crowded space. From there, we defined her brand positioning and key messages so she could show up consistently, attract the right clients, and communicate her value quickly without over explaining.
The Process:
With her brand strategy in place, I started in on the creative. While sketching, I kept thinking about how an owl captured all of her brand goals and the way she shows up as a mentor. Owls can sense and see what others miss, calm, observant, and incredibly precise, which mirrors Sharon’s strength of helping business owners find clarity and make confident decisions.
I then noticed that I could create a monogram out of the “S” and “B” in her name, forming the outline of an owl. That became the anchor for the entire identity system. From there, it was about building a look and feel that supported the mark and matched her energy, bold, modern, and a little retro without feeling forced.
For this, I leaned into a mid-century aesthetic with a color palette designed for real-world versatility. It supports calming cool tones for trust and clarity, with intentional punches of warmth for energy and personality when needed.
Typography follows the same balance, a clean sans serif for structure and readability, paired with a refined script to nod to that retro feel and add just the right amount of flair.
